Viridia coordinated the Conservation Planning Tools Committee in the development of the Biodiversity Strategy Framework for British Columbia, a comprehensive, science-based document that defined the key components of a biodiversity strategy and the process for gathering input. Involved in all four Phases of the Strategy development, including the biodiversity data and knowledge assessment; broad based consultation with partners, stakeholders, and the public; developing a framework to identify and assess knowledge gaps and prioritize processes to address them; and developing language and processes for implementing the Strategy. This has since evolved into British Columbia’s Conservation Framework.
